Poplars Forge steel Dragon Sculptures: Passion and creativity at its best…

Handmade in North Wales, we take great pride in employing traditional, old-fashioned metalworking techniques. This means that whilst each dragon takes upwards of 80 hours to design and build, the finished product is simply spectacular.

Every steel dragon is individual and completely unique. We refuse to adopt modern construction methods and shun mass-produced templates. This means that when you commission a Poplars Forge steel Dragon Sculpture, you are assured that it will be created with the time, pride and attention to detail that it deserves.

Poplars Forge steel Dragon Sculptures: The steel dragon creative process…

The creation of each Poplars Forge steel dragon requires meticulous attention to detail. We start by building a steel dragon skeleton that forms the structure of the Dragon Sculpture. The steel dragon then evolves through layer upon layer of detail, including hand-beaten wings. Once completed, each Dragon Sculpture receives a rust prevention treatment, which means it is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. Then the steel dragon goes through an aging process, upon which you can specify whether you would like a painted or lacquered finish.

Poplars Forge steel Dragon Sculptures: A lifetime investment in quality workmanship…

From beautifully constructed claws, to serpent-like teeth. From sinister, yet alluring eyes to scales you just can’t resist touching. From an elegant sweep of the neck to gnarled, lifelike skin…

The level of workmanship at every stage in the steel dragon’s creation is evident throughout.
